The use and use of iron oxide pigments

Iron oxide pigments can withstand strong eye exposure, are not affected by the atmosphere, and are difficult to be corroded by dirty gases (such as hydrogen sulfide, etc.), with good alkali resistance, good rust resistance, good corrosion resistance, decorative and identification functions, strong hiding power and tinting strength.

Uses: It is suitable for coloring and protective substances of various paints and paints. Such as alkyd resins, amino alkyd acids, perchloroethylene resins, polyurethanes, nitros, polyester paints, etc. In addition, it is also suitable for electrophoretic paints. Low paint, magnetic paint, pencil paint, blending paint, baking paint, anti-rust paint, floor paint, waterline paint, etc. It can also be used for water-based coatings, powder coatings and plastic coatings. As well as for toy paint, decorative paint, furniture paint, house paint, garage paint, parking lot paint, car topcoat and so on.          

How to use: Generally divided into three steps: wetting, grinding and dispersing (varnish). Iron oxide pigments, paints, and fillers are mixed in the batching tank, and the coarse color paste is prepared, and different grinding equipment is used according to the different viscosities obtained by the addition of solvents, such as heavy pulp can be rolled by a three-roller machine, and thin pulp can be ground by an efficient sand mill (vertical or horizontal) or ball mill. The primer is generally about 50 microns, and the topcoat is required to be about 40 microns, and then in the paint mixing tank, resin, dry materials, solvents, etc. are added for paint mixing, dispersion, color matching, viscosity adjustment, etc., and finally filtration, finished product packaging.

Application: Iron oxide pigment has good weather resistance, high purity, good thermal stability, good compatibility with other components in the application system, can absorb ultraviolet rays, prevent the degradation of binders, and low cost, can be widely used in coatings and paints. Because of its strong hiding power, it has strong opacity and very little water absorption to ultraviolet rays, and can enhance the mechanical strength of the paint film in the paint film, especially in the excellent characteristics of adhesion, and other anti-rust pigments such as red dan, zinc yellow, etc., can enhance the stability and mechanical strength of the paint film, and are now widely used in various outdoor paints, traffic paints, metal antirust primers and topcoats. The iron oxide pigments used in coatings and paints include iron red, iron yellow, iron brown, iron black, iron green, mica iron oxide, transparent iron oxide products, among which the largest amount and the widest application range are iron oxide red products, which are most suitable for automotive topcoats, wood coloring, canned coatings, pharmaceutical packaging coloring, etc.
